December 2006
Vocal Chaos is taking some time off for the holidays. No corporate gigs this year, so we're taking advantage of the time to plan some goals for 2007. From all of us to all of you, we wish you a safe and happy holiday season. And may we suggest, for that hard to buy for person on your list, our CD is available for sale only on this site! P.S. No word yet on America's Got Talent.

November 2006
When Simon Cowel's TV reality show America's Got Talent came to Chicago, Vocal Chaos was the first one in line for auditions. Literally. Our own Sean P. Gorecki showed up at 10pm the night before to stand in line. (Long story.) The audition process was very fun and exciting. Even if all we get is just our 2 songs in front of the producers, we all had a great time and met some interesting acts. Results are due out next month so we'll keep you posted as to whether we get in or not.

October 2006
This month Vocal Chaos performs at the Navy Pier a cappella showcase. The festival runs the weekend of October 14 and 15. We'll be performing on Sunday from about 4-5pm but lots of other really talented groups will be performing too, so come for the day! Best of all, it's FREE! For more information, visit www.navypier.com.

September 2006
Vocal Chaos is coming back home. Next month, we'll be playing at Schaumburg's annual SeptemberFest celebration. We'll be performing on the Chicago Tribune Dining Tent Music Stage from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. For more information

August 2006
Vocal Chaos is coming back home. Next month, we’ll be playing at Schaumburg’s annual SeptemberFest celebration. We’ll be performing on the Chicago Tribune Dining Tent Music Stage from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. For more information, check out the website at http://www.ci.schaumburg.il.us/fest/. If you missed us last month in Iowa, we understand. It was a long drive. But here in our own back yard, hey, you just GOTTA stop by!

July 2006
IOWA ROCKS!!! And so did Vocal Chaos! Yep, our road trip this year (yes, that’s 8 Chaotic Vocalists in a single van) took us to Independence, Iowa, for their 4th of July celebration. Attendance was down a little from past years, but we still had hundreds of people in the crowd. We also stopped off at the movie site for “The Field of Dreams” and took batting practice with a few other tourists before we sang a quick rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” from home plate. Check out our photos section for a few pictures from the trip (coming soon!). We were also pleased with how our new sound system worked out. All in all, it was a fun trip.

Hey, we just got a fresh batch of our latest EP in. (We ran out right before the Independence trip.) So for all of you who placed orders in late June, your CD’s are on the way. Thanks for your patience. For everyone else, we’ve got plenty in stock now so visit our online store and place an order for yourself, your family and your friends!

June 2006
The movie is out!!! We’re thrilled about the release of the new movie “The Break Up,” starring Jennifer Aniston, Vince Vaughn, and a few members of Vocal Chaos! Three of us walked our significant others down the proverbial red carpet on Memorial Day for the Chicago premiere of the movie, opening in theatres everywhere on June 2. We had a fantastic time at the show and afterwards at the cast party. We hope all of our fans will come out to see our guys and applaud Hollywood’s support of the a cappella scene.

Just a reminder, for our fans in Iowa (or groupies willing to make the drive) our next gig will be at the Independence Day celebration in Independence, Iowa, on July 4. It’s a free concert and although it’s our first trip there, we hear this celebration is a great time. Come enjoy the food, folks, and fun with your favorite Chaotic Vocalists from Chicago!

May 2006
Well this is turning out to be an interesting, multi-media month! Our new shows are shaping up nicely, and we have a few unique milestones for the group. First, sales of our studio EP are rolling in and we just got our first order from Australia! Yes, Vocal Chaos is now officially an international sensation! ;) And, we just found out that some of our members have been invited to walk the red carpet for the premiere of the upcoming Jennifer Aniston/Vince Vaughn movie, “The Break Up,” opening in theatres everywhere on June 2. Recently, fans of Vocal Chaos have been contacting us excitedly to tell us that they’ve seen us in the trailers both on the big screen and in TV ads. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can view it at your convenience at www.moviephone.com.

April 2006
Chaos is taking a brief break from public appearances this month for several reasons. First, we’ve taken the time to update our web site so that our fans can purchase our EP recording online or just hear samples of the songs. Second, we’re retooling our show for our upcoming holiday gigs in Independence, IA, on July 4 and in Schaumburg, IL, on September 4. Yes, Independence Day and Memorial Day. Please come out and see us. E-mail us if you need directions or more info. Third, we’re still regrouping after our showing at Harmony Sweepstakes last month. Thanks again to our fans who came out to support us and stayed afterwards to hear some more music. And finally, we’re also giving one of our members a paternity leave as he and his wife adjust to the arrival of their new baby daughter, born early this month (thanks for holding off until after Harmony Sweepstakes!) ;)

March 2006
Harmony Sweepstakes was a blast! We had a great time, and so did lots of our fans. We debuted a new arrangement of the 80’s song Africa by Toto that was very well received by the audience. We also rocked the house with some of our favorites including Good Things by the BoDeans and I Want You Back by the Jackson 5. (You can hear samples of these songs by clicking here, or you can hear them in their entirety on our EP recording that we released at Harmony Sweepstakes.) Although we didn’t win any awards this time, we were honored to perform with so many other talented groups and we really appreciate the support from all of our fans who attended.

So what’s next? Well, we’re working on that right now. Come check our website for more info in April about our next upcoming gigs! Or, join our mailing list (info on that coming very soon!!) and we’ll contact you as soon as the dates are official.

February 2006
We’re in, and we’re out, all in one month! First, we’re in -- we’ve been notified that we will be appearing on stage at Harmony Sweepstakes on March 25th at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, IL (click here for tickets). Please come and cheer for us and vote for us for Audience Favorite!

And we’re out! On the BIG SCREEN, that is! The official movie trailer for "The Break Up" starring Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn (not to mention a couple of your favorite a cappella singers from Chicago) is in theatres now. But if you don’t see it there, you can still see it online at www.moviephone.com. Just search for "The Break Up." And look quickly! We’re in the trailer twice, but only for a few seconds.

January 2006
Happy New Year! In this time of resolutions and new beginnings, Vocal Chaos is working on both. We’re starting to line up gigs for 2006 across the country, preparing for the debut of "The Break Up" (pushed back to a June release date), having our EP produced and keeping our fingers crossed while we wait to see if we make it into the midwest regional Harmony Sweepstakes competition. Wish us luck!
